The holiday season is upon us! Are you ready? Some of us have our family to surround us and some are not so fortunate. Our prayers go out to everyone for a time of peace during this time. Please reach out to someone today! Maybe a friend from high school or a cousin you haven’t seen in years. Life is so short. Embrace each day with purpose if you can. You will not be disappointed.
That is what we do at Cayuga County Habitat for Humanity. We embrace our mission to serve others, create affordable homeownership opportunities and bring hope when there is no hope. We take our vision that everyone deserves a decent place to live very seriously. We strive each day to become more compassionate, more passionate and more intentional addressing the housing crisis in our community.
We may seem small in the big landscape of our community, but we are mighty in our quest to discover the next family that will hold the keys to their new home. We are accepting applications for our homebuyer program.until December 19th. So spread the word and send folks our way if you know an interested family! We truly enjoy meeting families and helping them learn how to become financially ready to become a homeowner.
We continue to explore opportunities for growth and innovative ways to bring the needed funding into our affiliate. Our critical home repair program is growing while we are looking for our next home project. We are entertaining the possibility of adding a modular home to our project list. Become a Volunteer! We rely on our volunteer community to help us carry out our mission to provide affordable housing to all. We have Volunteer opportunities for individuals or groups.
We are seeing the fruits of our labor in our community. Our hope is to inspire others, spread joy and kindness each and every day.
